Known as Victoria’s premier luxury helicopter operator, Microflite are on a mission to provide an experience like no other. From the moment you step foot in the elegant second story cocktail lounge along the banks of Melbourne’s Yarra River, it is easy to see why so many choose to ride with Microflite. I was lucky enough to experience their brand new Airbus EC130 that was so fresh from delivery, it had yet to be branded with the iconic red wrap seen prevalently in their Moorabbin hanger, which houses over 20 helicopters, while also featuring the Westpac rescue chopper. The roomy Airbus gave a great sense of space with plenty of room to shoot Melbourne’s city skyline along with other landmarks, such as the sporting capital’s famous MCG. Having state-of-the-art Bose aviation headphones on board made it easy to communicate with our highly professional and skilful pilot.
